Now most of us are familiar with golf. It seems odd at first. However, once you get into it, golf is a way of life. So are bars. It is entirely logical therefore that there is always a bar sitting at the end of a golf course. Actually, the better golf courses have the 9th green end right next said 18th hole bar.  It all makes perfect sense.

So, golf is essentially a ball-and-stick game that is celebrated at its end with a drink. And, there are others who see it the opposite: a drinking game that involves a bit of ball and stick foreplay to work up a thirst.  Either way, the 19th has always been American Bars’ favorite hole. We've played this hole so many times and at so many golf courses…yet it never seems to lose its appeal. Another thing, we don't care if it's raining, or if the play is slow. Actually both are encouraged. As duffers, we care little for the score.

This all leads to our piece for today — Under par golf bars. Since par is usually four shots, and being under par is grand indeed, we selected the three best golf bars in America for you to putter about in your conversations at your local links.

Some golf courses have a terrific bar in the clubhouse, ideally with a large bay window looking out over the links, good company, and a full drinks menu that as well as the usual lagers, scotches and fine wines includes some strange and exotic golfers' tipples such as Kümmel, gunners and, of course, the Arnold Palmer: part lemonade, part unsweetened iced tea. Add a dash of spirit if you wish. And top it off with that long, funny story about the time you ran your friend over with the golf cart.

So, without comment nor critical words, here are our choices…for now.
