Why do we never see this innovation around here? There have been some pretty ridiculous pop-ups in London over the last few years — Carlsberg beer had one made entirely of chocolate. There was the great mixed drink Breaking Bad themed motor home, a roast potato pop-up, and a weed-themed restaurant. But now it is going to the dogs.
A pop-up bar staffed by dogs will be one day only…today. Yes, this is really happening. The dogs will wear harnesses with mini barrels that are stuffed with bottles of beer, which these well-trained pooches will deliver to thirsty customers. It’s a nice take off the much storied Swiss St. Bernard rescue dogs with the cask of whiskey on their collar. But there will be a few human members of staff on hand to refresh the barrels, because, cute as they are, these dogs haven't magically developed opposable thumbs. Unsurprisingly, the whole thing is a stunt for Kronenbourg, but did we mention that the beer is free?
