It is crazy to think that 2015 is almost in the books.  Wow, how this year has flown by.  It has been a big year for American Bars.  In late August we launched our website and kicked it off with a successful launch party at Del Monte Speakeasy in Venice Beach, California.

In September we attended our first festival, the OC Brew HaHa in Irvine, California as a vendor.  We met a lot of really great folks and got a bunch of people signed up.

We also began developing Apps for IOS and Android devices.  These will be out in mid January.  The rest of the time we have been adding more information, improving functionality and refining the website.  This process is ongoing but our commitment is unwavering.

As you look back on the previous year, you must also look to the future.  Each new year, you get the chance to explore new opportunities.  You can wipe the slate clean or you can improve on what you already do.  You could do this at any time but the start of a new year always seems to be a good place to begin the process.  Here are some of the New Year’s resolutions from the staff at American Bars.

    Nicolle

“As cheesy as it may sound, my biggest ‘resolution’ or commitment to myself for 2016 is to only get better and stronger (in all senses) each and everyday and carry that mentality with me for the rest of my life.

Everything is a non-negotiable. I will wake up everyday and recite my main mantra ‘what would happen if you gave your 100 percent to everything that you do’”. I will push myself to get up and run no matter how cold it is or what time I went to bed. I am making 2016 set the premise to the rest of my life and attitude towards it - so I can’t f@*k up. Maybe take a lazy day here and there :)

2016 is a non-negotiable year, not an option to not give my absolute best, practice humbleness and gratitude, which can be forgotten when in the zone. I will remember to give compassion and empathy, and remember that each day the hard work is for something far beyond myself. I will let my childhood of dream of being a so-called “Robin Hood” drive me when I forget why I push myself.

I guess you could say my 2016 resolution is to take myself past the point of 100 percent and stay humbled as to why I want to do all of it in the first place - to give back. (and, keep some of it, of course:) ).”

My New Years Resolution is 1029x742… ha…ha. Now that is over with, my REAL resolution is to get rid of all the things I don’t need and to be more organized. I have a lot of my son’s clothes as well as my own to get rid of and give to local shelters. I’ve needed to do this for some time and I’m sure there are other people that can use it. I’d also like to go through ALL of my things and just get rid of the crap I don’t need. If only I can do that with some of my friends. Well hey, I think I have two resolutions now.

“I have two New Year’s resolutions, one professional and the other personal.  I want 2016 to be the year of American Bars!.  For my personal resolution is to continue to cut out sugar in my diet.”

    Tobi

“I really don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions because I think you should always work on improving yourself.  If there is one thing that I want to work on is being a more effective communicator.”

    Mark

“My New Year’s resolutions are pretty much standard.  I want to always try to be the best friend, husband, person and business partner I can possibly be.  While sometimes I don’t meet the goal, I do try to strive for it and get better each year.  If I can do that, then I can consider it a pretty good year.  I want to work to make sure American Bars, becomes the resource that I know it can be and will be.  The final resolution is to get in really good shape, which is once again a yearly goal that I meet with varying degrees of success or failure.”

Now that you’ve heard some of our resolutions, we’d love to hear some of yours. Whatever your goals and resolutions are, may you reach every one of them and have the best year ever!  From all of us at American Bars, may your 2016 bring prosperity, health and happiness!
