Writers are known for loving their alcoholic beverages - whether it's beer, whiskey, champagne every writer has his or her poison. Dating back to Shakespeare himself (and I'm sure even before then), alcohol has long been the release of choice for writers. Some of their best work, and quotes have come while being intoxicated. Alcohol is written about with elegance and love, and as a best friend.
As a writer myself, I definitely enjoyed this little article from Thrillist, giving us some of the most famous quotes from some of the most famous writers on drinking alcohol, and their love affair with it.
“Stay with the beer. Beer is continuous blood. A continuous lover.” --Charles Bukowski
