Penny Blue XO rum is named for the "rarest stamp in the world." An image of the stamp appears on the label of the bottle and is said to be a misprinted stamp from 1847 of which there are only 12 left in the world today. The rum itself is made in Mauritius at the Medine Distillery as a collaboration between Berry Bros and Rudd and the Medine master distiller. It is bottled at a slightly higher proof at 88.2 (the US standard being 80).
